Llandudno yacht
Cheryl and I make at least an annual drive to Llandudno to visit the sea. This day, we decided to shun the east side, and instead park on the west shore, and walk down to the Deganwy Castle ruins.
It was a lovely weather day. The walk was easy, the ruins providing an excellent viewing point to see the Conwy River, the coast, and over to Snowdonia.
This is one of my favourite shots. I spent a lot of time watching the yacht sail, and waited for it to be in the right spot compositionally .
The walk took less time than expected, and we returned back to the car mid afternoon. To make the most of the day, we drove the toll road around the Orme when the weather took a distinct turn for the worse with heavy rain and strong winds.
It was great that we were now in the comfort of the car, and even better because it gave me opportunities to get some great stormy shots over the estuary.
